3rd Infantry Division (Headquarters) arrives in Iraq
Multi-National Corps – Iraq PAO

BAGHDAD – Multi-National Corps-Iraq welcomed the 3rd Infantry Division Headquarters out of Fort Stewart, Ga., to Iraq this week.

The Headquarters will be referred to as Multi-National Division – Center and take-up responsibilities in an operational area just South of Baghdad.
 
They will provide command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities in support of the new Baghdad Security Plan.

The division headquarters includes approximately 900 Soldiers.
