MND-B patrol end with small arms fire

Multi-National Division – Baghdad Public Affairs

BAGHDAD –
An Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldier died and another was wounded when a combat security patrol was attacked with small arms fire in an eastern section of Baghdad April 21.

MND-B Soldiers and their Iraqi security forces counterparts continue to set the conditions for a stable and self –reliant Iraq, conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon.

Elements of this unit recently conducted combined clearing operations in this area of the Iraqi capital aimed at locating and seizing insurgent improvised explosive device and weapons caches.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
