Roadside bomb targets MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD
– An MND-B Soldier was killed and six others were wounded when their vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device in an eastern section of the Iraqi capital May 3. The unit was conducting a combat security patrol in the area when the attack occurred.

Iraqi Security Forces and Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers continue conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon, helping set the conditions for a stable, secure and self-reliant Iraq.
    
Elements of this unit continue to conduct clearing operations in this area of Baghdad in an effort to seize and secure IED caches used to build and manufacture roadside bombs used against the Iraqi people, Iraqi Security Forces and the Coalition force.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
