Peaceful protest in Sadr City

CAMP TAJI, Iraq
— More than 2,000 eastern Baghdad residents held a peaceful protest in Sadr City at approximately 10:00 a.m. June 14 in comdemnation of the Samarra Mosque bombing on Wednesday.


The crowd gathered at 10:00 a.m. and quietly dispersed by 11:30 a.m. The non-violent rally was held in the center of Sadr City, not far away from the Coalition-manned Sadr City Joint Security Station.
