Improvised explosive device strikes MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD — A Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldier was killed when an improvised explosive device detonated near a foot patrol in the southern part of the city.
 
Elements of this unit have conducted numerous patrols and raids in Baghdad this past month. These operations have netted 12 weapons caches and several arrests in an effort to provide a more secure environment for Iraqi citizens.
 
The Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
