MND-B patrol struck by improvised explosive device
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO


BAGHDAD — Five Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldiers, three Iraqi civilians and one Iraqi interpreter were killed when a roadside bomb detonated near a Coalition vehicle during combat operations in a northeastern section of Baghdad June 21. One other Soldier and two Iraq civilians were also wounded in the attack. 
          
Coalition medics provided immediate aid to the injured Iraqi civilians.
 
This unit continues to work side-by-side with its Iraqi Security Force counterparts in an effort to clear and control this section of the Iraqi capital.
 
The deceased Soldiers’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
