Improvised explosive device strikes MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO


BAGHDAD — Two Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldiers were killed and three others were wounded when their unit was struck by a roadside bomb, then received small arms fire in eastern Baghdad early June 23.
 
In the past month the unit has conducted numerous clearing operations designed to disrupt insurgent activity by targeting improvised explosive device making cells, in an order to provide the Iraqi citizens a more secure environment.
 
The deceased Soldiers’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
