Task Force Lightning Soldiers attacked
Multi-National Division – North PAO

TIKRIT, Iraq – One Task Force Lightning Soldier died as a result of injuries sustained from an explosion near his vehicle while conducting operations in Salah ad Din Province, Monday.

Two Soldiers were also wounded and transported to a Coalition medical facility for treatment.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification and release by the Department of Defense.
