Special group cell continues attacks on Coalition Forces
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD – A vehicle from 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division was struck by an explosively formed penetrator device while conducting a security patrol for the Iraqi people in the eastern Baghdad district of Adhamiyah Feb. 3.

The attack occurred at approximately 3 p.m. as a convoy from 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, was moving through the Beida neighborhood.

No casualties were reported. On average, there has been an EFP attack approximately once every three days, over the last 35 days. The attacks have wounded Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers and killed Iraqi civilians, including a woman and a child, Jan 18.
