IED attack kills Iraqi civilian

BAGHDAD – An Iraqi civilian was killed in an improvised explosive device attack in the New Baghdad district of eastern Baghdad March 12.

A Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldier suffered a minor injury, and a vehicle was damaged in the attack that targeted MND-B forces.

Soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light), responded quickly. The Soldiers secured the crime scene and searched for the criminals responsible for the attack, as well as assessing the explosives the terrorists used in the attack.

“This is just one of many recent examples how the (criminals) of Iraq continue to show no regard for the sanctity of innocent human life,” said Maj. Alan Stout, spokesperson for 4th BCT, 10th Mtn. Div.  “We will continue to hunt down and to hold to account all those found guilty of these heinous crimes.”
