Joint operations in Mosul detain 16
Multi-National Division – North

TIKRIT, Iraq – Iraqi Security and Coalition forces detained 16 suspected terrorists in four separate operations in western Mosul, March 18.
 
The ISF and CF have been focusing on eliminating al Qaeda in Iraq cells in western Mosul, a hot-bed of insurgent activities.
 
“Running terrorists out of western Mosul is crucial to taking away AQI’s presence in the city,” said Maj. Dan Meyers, U.S. military spokesman in northern Iraq.
