Iraqi Security Forces, advised by U.S. Special Forces, detain six suspected militants in overnight operations Multi-National Corps – Iraq PAO

BALAD, Iraq – Iraqi Security Forces, advised by U.S. Special Forces, detained six suspected militants during separate operations March 22.

In Baghdad, Iraqi Special Operations Forces detained one suspected militant who is believed to be the leader of an improvised explosive device and explosively formed penetrator cell. One other suspect is being held for questioning.

In the northern Hamrin Lake region, northwest of Jalula, Iraqi Security Forces detained a suspect who is said to be involved in a criminal element in the area. Improvised explosive device material was found at the site.

In Al Kut, the Al Kut Iraqi Special Weapons and Tactics unit detained three suspects believed to be responsible for criminal activities in Al Kut.
