U.S. Special Operations Forces respond to attack, kill two criminals during security operation
Multi-National Corps – Iraq

BAGHDAD – U.S. Special Operations Forces killed two Special Groups criminals after coming under attack during security operations in the Sadr City area of Baghdad May 7.
 
SOF were providing security for Iraqi and Coalition forces who were making safety infrastructure improvements in Sadr City.  

During the operation, criminal elements attacked SOF with a coordinated complex attack involving two improvised explosive devices, rocket propelled grenades and small arms fire.  Special Operations Forces returned fire killing two enemy fighters on a rooftop.
