Iraqi Special Operations Forces capture suspected Special Groups leaders
Multi-National Corps – Iraq PAO

BALAD, Iraq – Iraqi Special Operations Forces captured two suspected Special Groups cell leaders in an operation in Baghdad May 30.
 
The ISOF conducted the operation to capture two individuals believed to be responsible for the kidnapping, torture and murder of two Iraqi Special Operations Forces Soldiers in December 2006 and June 2007. One of the men is also suspected of other kidnappings and murders in Baghdad.
 
Seven other suspected Special Groups criminals were detained during the operation.
