MND-B Soldiers detain suspected criminal leader in Khadamiya Multi-National Division – Baghdad BAGHDAD – Multi-National Division – Baghdad detained a suspected criminal leader in the Kadamiyah security district of western Baghdad July 13. Soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) detained the suspected criminal while conducting operations targeting him. He is a suspected high-ranking Special Groups officer believed to have been facilitating the transfer of vehicles with improvised explosive devices from Hurriyah and Shula and trafficking weapons in and around Khadamiya. The cell he is believed to operate in is responsible for attacks against Coalition forces. “Removing suspected criminals like this from the streets results in a better, safer environment for the people who live in west Baghdad,” said Maj. J. Frank Garcia, a spokesperson for 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Abn. Div. (AA). “We are proud of the soldiers who detained this suspected criminal.
