MND-B Soldiers detain two SG criminals in Hayy Jihad in southern Baghdad’s Rashid district

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq – Multi-National Division –Baghdad Soldiers detained two Special Groups criminals in the Hayy Jihad of Baghdad’s Rashid district Sept. 19.
 
At approximately 6 a.m., Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, MND-B, conducted a targeted raid using actionable military intelligence to apprehend two suspected SG criminals living in southern Baghdad.

Two pistols were confiscated from the detainees, who are reputedly responsible for sectarian violence in southwestern Baghdad.
 
“The 1st Brigade does not tolerate Special Groups criminals in Rashid,” said Lt. Col. Paul Hossenlopp, deputy commander, 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B. “With the support of the Iraqi people, the Soldiers of the 1st BCT will work with their Iraqi Security Forces counterparts to eliminate all threats against the people of Rashid.”
