Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 12th Brigade, 3rd IA Division and the 4th Iraqi NP Battalion, distributed the food to about 200 families and conducted a census in the neighborhood. The event took place to assist the ISF as they work to develop stronger relationships in the neighborhood. By conducting the census, the ISF and local government will better understand the neighborhood and what is needed to improve both the economic conditions and security of the residents. The Iraqi Security Forces continue to move throughout the city and speak to the residents to develop solid relationships,” said Maj. Ryan W. Patnode, Nineveh Operations Command liaison officer for the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. “As the relationship improves and trust is built, the ISF, local government, and residents can work together to improve the economic situation and keep insurgents out of their neighborhood.” -30- FOR MORE INFORMATION, CONTACT THE MULTI-NATIONAL DIVISION – NORTH PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE AT:
