BAGHDAD – The 44th Iraqi Army arrested an alleged member of Kata’ib Hezbollah today during a joint security operation in northeastern Baghdad.
Credible intelligence led the 44th IA and U.S. advisors to a neighborhood in northeastern Baghdad today in search of a warranted Kata’ib Hezbollah member suspected of planning and conducting attacks against security forces in Iraq.
During preliminary questioning of individuals at the scene, the security team positively identified the warranted individual and arrested him without incident.
The arrested suspect is subject to prosecution in an Iraqi court of law.
