Iraqi SWAT arrests suspected terrorist cell leader

Multi-National Corps-Iraq

TIKRIT, Iraq – The Iraqi Special Weapons and Tactics unit, advised by U.S. forces, arrested a suspected terrorist leader under the authority of a warrant issued by the Government of Iraq Nov. 21.

The suspected terrorist was arrested with a warrant issued by the Salah ad-Din Criminal Investigation Court.

The terrorist is suspected of leading a cell believed to be responsible for explosive attacks against Iraqi Security Forces.

The SWAT entered the residence, secured the house and positively identified the suspect. Constables also collected evidence from the house after the arrest.
