MULTI-NATIONAL FORCE-IRAQ PRESS DESK BAGHDAD, Iraq Press Release A091125x-01 November 25, 2009 ISF pursue AQI leader in Mosul, arrest 18 BAGHDAD – Iraqi Security Forces arrested 18 suspected al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) associates today while conducting a series of joint security operations throughout Mosul. ISF and U.S. advisors searched several residential buildings in Mosul for an alleged AQI regional leader. The alleged AQI leader is suspected of staging deadly attacks against Iraqi civilians and security forces. Based on preliminary questioning and evidence gathered at the scene, ISF arrested 18 suspected associates of the warranted AQI leader.
