One Task Force Lightning Soldier killed, two others wounded

Multi-National Division – North PAO

TIKRIT, Iraq – A Task Force Lightning Soldier assigned to 3rd Brigade Combat
Team, 1st Cavalry Division, was killed and two others were wounded when an
improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle while they were conducting
operations in Diyala Province Saturday.

The two wounded Soldiers were transported to Coalition Forces’ medical
treatment facilities.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of
kin and release by the Department of Defense.
