ISF captures 2 insurgent cell leaders
Multi-National Corps – Iraq PAO
BAGHDAD – Iraqi Special Security Force captured two leaders of an insurgent cell during operations with Coalition advisers Jan. 12 in Al Doura, who are allegedly responsible for coordinating and conducting car bombing attacks against Iraqi civilians in Sadr City.
The insurgent leaders are also implicated in carrying out other car bombing and improvised explosive device attacks on Iraqi security forces in the Baghdad area.
There was minimal damage done to the objective. There were no Iraqi civilians, Iraqi forces or Coalition forces casualties.
