COALITION FORCES DETAIN 28 SUSPECTED TERRORISTS IN AREA RAIDS

BAGHDAD, Iraq
– Coalition Forces detained 28 suspected terrorists Wednesday morning during several raids of foreign terrorist safe houses throughout Iraq.

Among those detained were a senior al Qaida improvised explosive devices coordinator and weapons dealer in Mosul.
In Ramadi, ten suspects were detained in association with foreign terrorist facilitation.
In Yusufiyah, nine suspected terrorists were detained and a cache of weapons was destroyed.  The cache consisted of AK-47s, anti-tank mines, mortar switches, pressure plates and multiple rounds of ammunition.
No one was killed or injured during the raids.

Coalition Forces will continue deliberate and methodical operations in order to hunt down and capture or kill terrorists who are trying to prevent a peaceful and stable Iraq.
These operations will continue to be successful with the support and cooperation of the Iraqi people.
