Iraqi Army troops find, detonate IED
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

FORWARD OPERATING BASE LOYALTY, Iraq – Iraqi Army patrolling an eastern neighborhood of the Iraqi capital discovered an improvised explosive device Jan. 18.
 
Troops from the 2nd Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division found the device in the Adhamiyah district of eastern Baghdad at approximately 12:45 p.m.  The homemade bomb was destroyed at the site.
 
Iraqi and coalition forces continue to work to secure eastern Baghdad in order to set conditions for Iraqi takeover of the security mission.
